Poetic Journey Structure
In the first assignment, students get to generate design through conscious consideration of spatial typologies,
section-plan relationship, contextual conditions and considerations of human
scale, natural light, materiality, and textures. Project 1 is a collaborative group project with an individual component. The task is to mythologize a rainforest and translate it into an intriguing narrative that will then be transformed into two (2) individual standalone Poetic Journey Structures in groups of eight (8) students. Students must create one narrative, which will then be transformed into a concentric journey structure, as well as one as a linear journey structure, resulting in the two (2) Poetic Journey Structure.

The Discovery Center (Genius Loci) - Site Analysis, Site Response and Design Concept
For our second assignment, we must examine from a starting point, which is an analysis of the site context . It is a fundamental requirement for any design project because it will suggest a series of parameters to suggest an architectural solution that is appropriate to the place and its meaning, as well as contributes to its context. The site must be understood intuitively and personally, as well as quantitatively and quantitatively. Physical surveys, qualitative aspects of experience, and personal interpretation of the site are all used to record and understand the site.

The Discovery Center (Visitor Center for Kampung Janda Baik, Pahang)
are required to create a structure that allows users to "DISCOVER" information about the people, places, activities, culture, history, and so on associated with Kampung Janda Baik. It will serve as a visitor centre, with interpretive exhibits, a walk-through historical or cultural journey museum-like exhibition, an interactive and engaging "edutainment" programme, and areas or spaces to connect with the local people and natural environments. It could be a centre for learning about the locals and early settlers who called the area home, or it could be a centre for revealing the significance of the rainforest, rivers, mountains, and even "kampung" activities. All of this information will be transformed into architectural spaces that require a poetic touch.
